Selby Store

Selby Community Furniture Store

In 2004, the residents of Selby and surrounding areas welcomed a new place to go in search of their second hand furniture (and garden furniture!) at affordable prices and as a result, it has only grown in popularity.

With a wide range of furniture donated on a daily basis, you can be sure that each staff member is committed and trained to a high standard to ensure that they can help customers to the best of their ability.

The store sells a wide array of new items as well (beds/white goods/bedroom furniture) at a discounted price, while it also benefits from the work of volunteers who generously give up their time to help out.

Specialist Workshop onsite

One of the defining features of the Selby store is that it has a workshop onsite that specialises in creating wooden furniture, benefiting from being situated between two wood merchants who donate on a regular basis.

Each carefully handcrafted piece is the work of skilled staff who make sure that each piece they make can serve a practical and sustainable purpose.

Wide array of Garden Furniture

Visitors to the Selby store can find a comprehensive selection of garden furniture, with the vast majority of this made in the workshop, whether this be benches, tables or chairs.

The workshop also takes individual commissions from members of the public, who perhaps want a more tailored piece to specification, although staff will say whether they can facilitate the creation of the piece that you may have in mind (this also applies to commissions for indoor furniture).
