BOARD MINUTE TAKER – COMMUNITY FURNITURE STORES
Community Furniture Stores help local people by reusing unwanted furniture, reducing waste and providing employment training opportunities.
Our Board of Trustees meets 5 or 6 times a year in the early evenings, mainly in York but with annual meetings in Selby and Scarborough where our other Stores are bases.
We are looking for someone to support our work by attending meetings to take concise minutes to record our discussions, decisions and action plans. We are happy to discuss appropriate remuneration on a flexible basis, either through an honorarium or an hourly rate.

Volunteering with us
Community Furniture Stores are not-for-profit organisations and are always looking for volunteers to support our work. Volunteering can be an ideal way to gain experience, learn new skills or give something back to the community. Hours are by arrangement. We are always looking for volunteers to help with customer service and stock management in our Stores/warehouses, and to support our delivery teams working on the vans.
To discuss volunteering opportunities call into your nearest store and ask to speak to the Store Manager, or email firstname.lastname@example.org outlining your particular area of interest.
