Workshop Supervisor – Scarborough
Salary £17,550 pa
Community furniture store (Ryedale) are looking to appoint a Workshop Supervisor to lead the volunteer activities and programmes in the stores workshop.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and positive person to fulfil this role. This role would suit someone with an education, support or care background, experienced in working with volunteers with various support needs and from a mixture of backgrounds. Some experience of upholstery/furniture repair/upcycling would be beneficial as this is the focus of the existing work but the workshop activities are flexible around the facilities and materials available. There will be times where the workshop supervisor will be required to assist in other areas of the charity, helping on the shop floor and with deliveries but the role will be predominantly based in the workshop.

We aim to find people with a range of business skills who are interested in the work of the charities over the wider North Yorkshire area. We would particularly like to hear from people with media/publicity and financial management/accountancy skills and we also wish to increase the diversity of the Board.

Community Furniture Stores are not-for-profit organisations and we are always looking for volunteers to support our work. Volunteering can be an ideal way to gain experience, learn new skills or give something back to the community. Hours are by arrangement. We are always looking for volunteers to help with customer service and stock management in our warehouses.
