CHIEF OFFICER

A challenging charity/social enterprise role

COMMUNITY FURNITURE STORES
AT YORK, SELBY & SCARBOROUGH

From around £35,000 – full-time or pro-rata (plus benefits)

With possibility of more for an exceptional candidate and/or to reward excellent performance

Working in partnership with a committed & energetic board of trustees, you will manage and develop the work of three charitable social enterprise businesses.  You will maximise the delivery of the charities’ core objectives to promote re-use and to provide furniture, electrical and other household goods to help people in need and work experience and volunteering opportunities for local people who are unemployed or have other needs.

You will drive forward and build on current activity, working with the 3 store managers, over 25 staff & a large number of trainees and volunteers, but be open to embracing change and the new opportunities it may bring.

You will be based in York, but travel within Yorkshire and occasionally beyond, is required.   Flexible hours (30 minimum) may be possible.
