Community Furniture Store (Ryedale) is currently recruiting a Store Manager for the Scarborough store. Working across an area from Whitby to Malton we collect donated items free of charge and make these available for sale at affordable prices, with discounted pricing for people on a low income. The Store offers work experience and training opportunities for people facing barriers to employment in the area. These include placements in our workshop which tests electrical items and repairs and upcycles donated furniture.
We are now looking for an energetic Store Manager to lead all aspects of the Store’s work, managing a team of dedicated staff and volunteers as we move into an exciting new phase. Having firmly established the Store’s presence since opening in 2015 we hope to move to new premises with greater visibility in the next year. Alongside this we will be expanding activities in our workshop, and developing our online sales.
