The Ryedale Community Furniture Store (based in Scarborough) has secured £20k of funding from the Sirius Minerals Foundation for the development of its workshop project. The workshop provides training and support for local people who are facing difficulties finding work. This includes people who are long term unemployed, people with an offending history, and people with disabilities.
As a result of this funding an additional 36 people will benefit from a combined total of almost 6,500 hours of training and support.
